Seaside Park Little League Team of 1968

This is a painting I did from the black and white team photo of the 1968 Seaside Park Little League team. Altho I did not realize it at the time, I was blessed to grow up in this small costal New Jersey town. It is a resort town so the population swells during the Summer months. But, from September to May it is a quiet small town. There is a wonderful softball / baseball field where we played the game as children. These are all real people I grew up with. Things were pretty simple in the 60's. The uniforms were hand me downs. There were not enough jerseys or pants. The jerseys had hand stitched felt lettering. Most of which had fallen off long ago. The pants were permanently stained with dirt from the field. But, it did not matter. We were a team playing ball against the neighboring town of Seaside Heights and Lavalette. Great Summer days
